Maple Brown Sugar Oatmeal

I was craving oatmeal like crazy after my workout today, but I didn't want to waste points on something that wouldn't fill me, or would use too many points. A google search later, I found this recipe and decided to try it out. Sorry for the not-so-pretty pic, but its hard to get a nice picture of oatmeal. I decided to nix the raisins/craisins, and used splenda brown sugar and sugar-free pancake syrup. All together, this huge bowl is around 4 points. Not bad at all. It turned out really nice. I did have to add a packet of equal since it wasn't sweet enough for my crazy sweet tooth, but other than that its awesome. I'm so used to the over processed instant oatmeal that this is a nice change.

Super Bowl Sunday, Pt. 2

And the other HG recipe that I made for the big game was her Saucy Chick BBQ Nachos which can be found here, on her website. I did make some changes this time. I mixed the entire half cup of bbq sauce in with the chicken since drizzling it on top can get gloopy. I also didn't put scallions or sour cream on top because I don't think it needs it, and its amazing as it is.

Super Bowl Sunday, Pt. 1

My friend came over for the big game and she, my mom, and I made a whole bunch of snacky stuff to eat while watching. I'm only going to post 2, but my mom also made reduced-fat pigs in a blanket (fat free hotdogs wrapped in reduced fat cressant rolls and thinly sliced), and Sam brought some chocolate marshmallow cupcakes, shrimp cocktail, and carob fudge. This post is for HG's Rockin Resturant Spinach Dip from her first cookbook. I made a double batch of this because it is just that amazing. There used to be a resturant around where I live called Bugaboo Steakhouse, and this dip is just like the one that they served. This is the perfect combination of spinach, cheese, garlic, and onion. Yum!
